At Maps 2 Learn, we value the privacy of individuals who use our websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), including parents, guardians, and the children who use our Services under a parent or guardian's account. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, and share personal information, and includes a dedicated section describing how we handle children's information in compliance with COPPA.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of information as described in this Privacy Notice. If you are a parent or guardian creating a child profile, your agreement to this Privacy Notice also constitutes your review of, and verifiable consent to, our collection and use of your child's personal information as described in the Children's Privacy section below.

Personal information is information that identifies or could be used to identify a specific person. Personal information does not include deidentified information (anonymized or pseudonymized) or aggregated information derived from personal information.

Parent/Account Holder Information

If you (the parent or guardian) sign up for an account, we collect basic contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, and/or mailing address. We may also collect certain demographic information when you register, such as your age, gender, personal interests, or how you heard about us.

Child Profile Information

Our Services are designed so that children do not create their own accounts. Instead, a parent or guardian creates an account and, within that account, sets up one or more child profiles. When creating a child profile, we collect only:

• The child's first name (or a nickname the parent chooses to use)

• The child's date of birth

We collect this information solely to personalize the learning experience (e.g., age-appropriate content, greeting the child by name, tracking individual progress across levels) and for no other purpose. We do not ask the child to provide this information directly, and we do not condition a child's ability to play any game or access any feature on providing more information than is reasonably necessary for that activity. See the Children's Privacy section below for full details on how this information is collected, used, protected, retained, and how parents can review or delete it.

Communications

If you contact us directly (for example, to reach our customer support team), we may collect your name, email address, phone number, or other contact information to verify your identity and respond to you. We may also retain the contents of any message, attachment, or form/questionnaire submission you send us.

Events

If you register for an event we host (in-person or online), we may collect your name, address, title, company, phone number, or email address, along with information specific to that event.

User Content

If our Services allow parents (not children) to post reviews, comments, or other content, this may be shared publicly unless otherwise noted at the time of posting.

Payment Information

If you make a purchase (for example, a subscription), we or a third-party payment processor may collect your payment-related information, such as credit card or other financial information. Payment information is collected only from the parent/account holder, never from a child.

Job Applications

If you apply for a job with us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, position, job history, education history, references, a cover letter, and other similar information.

Device Information

We may collect information about the devices and software used to access our Services, such as IP address, device type, operating system version, device identifiers, and other similar information. This is collected at the account (parent) level.

Usage Information

To understand how our Services are used and to improve them, we collect data such as crash reports, session length, levels completed, and general interaction data. Where this data relates to gameplay within a child profile, it is used only to operate the app (e.g., save progress, adjust difficulty) and is not used for advertising, marketing, or profiling of the child, and is not disclosed to third parties for their own purposes.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixel tags, or similar technologies on our parent-facing website and account areas. We do not use tracking technologies, persistent identifiers, or cookies for behavioral advertising purposes within child profiles or child-directed portions of the app.

We may receive information about parent/account holders from other sources, such as third parties that help us prevent fraud or verify identity. We do not knowingly receive personal information about children from any source other than the parent creating the child's profile.

Parent/account-level information may be used to:

• Provide, maintain, improve, and enhance our Services

• Understand and analyze how you use our Services and develop new products, services, features, and functionality

• Facilitate purchases of products or services that you order and process subscriptions

• Host events

• Allow you to share content with other Users of our Services (where such features exist)

• Evaluate and process applications for jobs with us

• Communicate with you, provide updates, respond to requests, and otherwise provide User support

• Send marketing and promotional communications (you may opt out at any time)

• Detect and prevent fraud, and address trust and safety issues

• Comply with legal obligations

• For other purposes for which we provide specific notice at the time the information is collected

Child profile information (name/nickname and date of birth) is used only to:

• Create and personalize the child's in-app learning profile

• Track the child's progress through levels and activities

• Present age-appropriate content

• Allow the parent to view the child's progress within the parent's account

We do not use children's personal information for behavioral advertising, marketing directed at the child, profiling for commercial purposes, or any AI/generative-AI training or application, unless we obtain separate verifiable parental consent for that specific purpose in advance.

Service Providers

We share information with service providers retained in connection with the provision of our Services (e.g., cloud hosting, customer support tools). These companies are contractually restricted to using information only to help us provide and improve our Services and are prohibited from using children's information for their own independent purposes.

Our Affiliates and Representatives

We may share information with our affiliates, subsidiaries, and representatives as needed to provide our Services.

Other Users

Content you (as a parent) post on our websites, including comments, may be displayed to other Users as appropriate.

Our Advertising and Analytics Partners — Parent/Account Data Only

For our general (non-child-directed) website and parent-facing account features, we may work with analytics and advertising partners, including:

• Google — see Google's Privacy & Terms

• Meta — see Meta's Data Policy

• LinkedIn — see LinkedIn's Privacy Policy

• Microsoft — see Microsoft's Advertising Policies

These partners do not receive, and are not used to process, any personal information collected from or about a child profile (name/nickname or date of birth). Any analytics or advertising activity involving these partners is limited to parent account-level, non-child data.

If we ever wish to share a child's personal information with a third party for a purpose that is not integral to operating the Services (for example, third-party advertising or analytics tied to a child profile), we will first obtain separate, specific verifiable parental consent for that disclosure, as required by the amended COPPA Rule.

As Required by Law and Similar Disclosures

We may access, preserve, and disclose information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (a) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (b) respond to your requests; or (c) protect your, our, or others' rights, property, or safety — including in response to illegal, threatening, or objectionable content posted on or through the Services.

Events

We may share parent/account holder information with event partners or co-sponsors to facilitate events for which you register. We do not share children's profile information for event purposes.

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers

We may transfer information, including children's information, to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or a successor entity in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company, or in which we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our assets. Any successor will remain bound by the commitments in this Privacy Notice, including the COPPA protections described below, with respect to previously collected children's information.

Consent

We may also disclose your information with your permission.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children who use our Services and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and its implementing Rule, including the amendments that took effect June 23, 2025.

Our app is directed, in part, to children under 13. Children do not create their own accounts. A parent or legal guardian must create an account and provide verifiable consent before any child profile is created or any personal information relating to a child is collected.

We collect only the following personal information within a child's profile:

• First name or nickname (chosen by the parent)

• Date of birth

We do not collect email addresses, precise geolocation, photos, voice recordings, biometric identifiers, or any other personal information directly from children. If a future version of the app were to collect additional categories of information from children (such as voice input for pronunciation practice), we will update this Privacy Notice and obtain new verifiable parental consent before doing so.

This information is entered exclusively by the parent or guardian through the parent's account when setting up a child profile. Children are never prompted to enter, upload, or submit personal information themselves.

Children's personal information is used solely to operate age-appropriate features of the Services — personalizing content, saving progress, and displaying that progress to the parent. It is never used for behavioral advertising, marketing to the child, building advertising profiles, or (unless we obtain separate parental consent) shared with third parties for their own independent purposes.

Before a parent can create a child profile, we require the parent to first create and verify their own account through filling up the COPPA consent form and verifying their payment method by selecting subscription. By completing this process and affirmatively creating a child profile, the parent provides verifiable consent to our collection and use of the child's name/nickname and date of birth as described in this Notice.

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

• Review the personal information we have collected from your child's profile

• Request deletion of your child's personal information and profile at any time

• Refuse further collection or use of your child's information and terminate the child's profile

• Withdraw consent previously given, which will result in deletion of the associated child profile data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at maps2learnprograms@gmail.com or through the account settings within the app. We will verify that the request is coming from the child's parent or guardian before acting on it.

We retain a child's personal information (name/nickname and date of birth) only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected — namely, operating the child's profile within an active parent account. Specifically:

• Child profile data is retained for as long as the associated parent account remains active and the profile has not been deleted.

• If a parent account is closed, a child profile is deleted, or the account is inactive for more than 12 months, we will delete the child's personal information using reasonable measures, except where we are required to retain it to comply with law.

• We do not retain children's personal information indefinitely or use it for any purpose beyond what is described in this Notice.

We do not condition a child's participation in any game, activity, or level on the child (or parent) disclosing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for that activity.

We maintain a written information security program appropriate to the sensitivity of children's personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest

• Access controls limiting employee/contractor access to children's data on a need-to-know basis

• Regular review and testing of security safeguards

• A designated individual responsible for coordinating our children's data security program

Any service provider that processes children's personal information on our behalf is contractually required to maintain confidentiality and security of that data, use it only to provide services to us, and not use it for their own independent purposes (including advertising).

Our Communications

You may receive marketing emails from us and can unsubscribe via the link in those emails. You will continue to receive administrative messages necessary to service your account.

Our Partners

You can review Google's and Meta's privacy practices on their respective websites, and install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You may also review options from the Network Advertising Initiative or Digital Advertising Alliance, or use your mobile OS settings to limit ad tracking. As noted above, none of this advertising activity applies to children's profile data.

Our Services may link to third-party websites, products, or services that we do not own or operate. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this Notice does not apply to information you or your child disclose to those third parties. We encourage parents to review third-party privacy policies before allowing a child to interact with any linked service (if applicable).

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from accidental loss, unauthorized access, or misuse — including the enhanced protections for children's data described in Section 6.9. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Services are hosted in the United States and intended for use by individuals located within the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States as described in this Notice.

We will post any changes to this Privacy Notice on this page, effective when posted. If we make material changes — particularly any change affecting how we collect or use children's personal information — we will notify parents directly (e.g., by email or in-app notice) and, where required, obtain renewed verifiable parental consent before the change takes effect.
